Årets avgangsstudenter viser sin avgangsproduksjon i slutten av mai og i begynnelsen av juni.
«Maybe group portrait stripper utøverens rolle ned til ofte intime og biografiske detaljer. Fokuset settes både på det autentiske og det kunstige. Dette tydeliggjøres ved at Laub ofte bruker ikke-profesjonelle til disse prosjektene. Serien har vist seg å bli svært populært, blant annet på grunn av konseptets tilpasningsdyktighet. Fra et teoretisk synspunkt er «The Portrait Series» et slags forsøk der Laub tester teatrets globale vokabular. Tanken er at nesten enhver enhet bestående av interessante karakterer kan formateres til en slik serie. Et annet interessant punkt er bruken av de samme formelle elementene. Resultatet blir ofte svært forskjellig avhengig av sosial og kulturell bakgrunn.

Våre avgangselever sikter på å utvide ideen om individuelle portretter for å danne et kollektivt gruppeportrett, hvor resultatet vil bli fastsatt etter en workshop som strekker seg over flere uker.

Forestillingene i uke 22 spilles i Black Boxen på Akademi for scenekunst på Kråkerøy i Fredrikstad torsdag 30.mai, fredag 31.mai og lørdag 1.juni.

Åpne forelesninger

NTA holder tverrfaglig tirsdagsforelesninger som speiler ulike sider av kunstfeltet. Noen av forelesningene er åpne for publikum. Alle forelesningene dette semesteret foregår fra klokken 18-20.
Kunstnere og teoretikere vil presentere sitt arbeid. En idébank uten overordnet tema. Studenter og deler av lærerstaben ved skolen vil være til stede ved disse presentasjonene.

15.JANUAR: Knut Ove Arntzen, professor UIB. Tema: The visual kind of dramaturgy: A theatre of new energies.
In his Tuesday lecture Professor Knut Ove Arntzen will speak about a theatre of new energies, deconstruction to ambient ways of experiencing in theatre since the 1980s. The background is how a visual kind of dramaturgy developed through workshops and pictorial orientation and the blurring of theatre and performance art. At the end he will touch upon the question of understanding trends. The lecture  will be accompanied by dvd screenings.

22.JANUAR: Cornelia Krafft. "Performing in-& outside the Theaters of Beirut"
This lecture will shed light on today´s major theater locations of the city and discuss its
cultural, educational and artistic qualities and possibilities for young amateurs or professionals.

29.JANUAR: Wen Hui.
Wen Hui of Living Dance, Beijing is a pioneer of contemporary dance in China. A choreographer and filmmaker, she is the resident artist for the month of February at NTA as part of the Infinite Record: Archive Memory and Performance artistic research project.  In this lecture she will address her current work and process in developing her documentary piece "Listening to Third Grandmother's Stories".

05.FEBRUAR: Klaus Schuwerk
firmitas - as long as humans have built, the idea of city and architecture as a stable background for the theatre of human life has always been present. Actually firmitas is strongly related if not congruent with culture itself.
Klaus Schuwerk talks about the theory of firmitas in relation to his projects, among others the new National Museum of Norway.

12.FEBRUAR: Pilar Mata Dupont
Interdisciplinary artist, Pilar Mata Dupont, will speak about her art practice and show recent work made in Australia, Germany and Finland. Pilar has worked between photography, performance/theatre, design and film since graduating from art school in Western Australia in 2001. Her practice centres on the exploration of history and its legacy in contemporary culture, and the re-imagining of memory based on texts, photographs, or people's stories; investigating how memory/history can be disfigured or glorified.

30.APRIL: Muriel Miguel
Muriel Miguel is an elder and leader in the indigenous theater community and one of the key historic figures of the theatrical avant garde in New York. A member and founder of Spiderwoman Theater, Muriel has created works for over 50 years that have challenged audiences on contemporary issues of gender, sexuality and native identity. In this lecture, Artistic Director Karmenlara Ely will interview Muriel on her latest perspectives on the company's new work in progress, Women in Violence II.

ACTING  - Experiences from 30 years of co-directing with Robert Wilson

22.MAI: Arnold Dreyblatt
"From the Archives", 1990 - 2013
Dreyblatt's installations, public art and performance works create complex textual and spatial visualizations for memory, reflecting on themes of recollection and the archive.  Arnold Dreyblatt will be the resident artist at NTA for fall 2013 as part of the Infinite Record: Archive Memory and Performance artistic research project.
